Welcome to the Joy of Practice Podcast!
Is practicing ever frustrating for you?
Is your progress slow or boring?
The truth is, practice can and should be a great joy.
Get ready to take your music Practice to the next level!

This episode (Episode 2) will help you to see practicing music from a different perspective.

Is practicing just repetition of tasks? Practice... practice... practice?
Or is music A Practice.

When we see our music as a practice, similar to other professions (practicing law, practicing medicine, practicing religion) it helps us to understand the importance and impact of our music in the world.

We are practitioners!
Our music makes a difference in the world.

"Don't stop trying"
🎶

Adaptive gear allows disabled musicians to keep playing Turns out disabling injuries from a 2012 auto accident prevent Thompson from playing a conventionally shaped flute. A specialist in the Netherlands fashioned a $3,000 mouthpiece – called a “swan neck headjoint” – that enables Thompson to play.
