UPDATE: Unfortunately, we’ve decided to take the L this week and will NOT be at market as planned. 😓😓😓 Instead, I’ll be cleaning up bread dough, thinking happy thoughts, and focusing on preparations for our next market day (August 29) so there are hopefully fewer unwelcome surprises. 😬🥺

So anyway, we will not have shokupan for sale at tomorrow’s market. 🤦‍♀️🙇‍♀️😭

We WILL, however, have plenty of crystal candy, melonpan, anpan, and other sweet breads, so please still plan to come see us! 😊🫶😂

Melonpan is a beloved Japanese sweet bread featuring a soft, sweet roll with a crackly cookie crust. 🤤 It gets its name from its crackly pattern, which resembles a melon skin. 🍈😋 They’re the perfect pastry to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee, and - real talk - my personal absolute favorite Japanese confection. 🥰

We’ll have original and chocolate chip melonpan in stock on Saturday. 🍞🍈 🍪 Stop by early to grab yours before they’re gone! 💨
