Excuse me… but can we talk about these cheeks?! 😍🐔
This little cutie is out here serving full fluff, zero shame, and 100% main character energy. The rest of the flock knows… those cheeks run the coop 😂

Today we bring you something beautiful from the garden 💜
No filters, no fuss—just sunshine, a handful of purple blooms, and a quiet moment in the backyard. This is the kind of beauty you can’t buy in a store… grown with patience, a little dirt, and a lot of love.
It’s a reminder that sometimes the best things aren’t perfect—they’re homegrown, a little wild, and thriving exactly where they’re planted 🌿✨

Well… found this hidden gem today 😅
Apparently one of my girls took “Easter egg hunt” a little too seriously and tucked this one away in the most creative spot possible. Bonus points for effort… minus a few for structural integrity 🤦♀️
You can’t convince me chickens don’t have a sense of humor. One minute you’re collecting eggs, the next you’re playing detective in the coop 😂
Farm life: where the eggs are fresh, and the hiding spots are… questionable.

This poor girl!

POV: you went out for one egg and the pullets said, “best we can do is a starter pack.” 🥚😅
Small eggs, big overachiever energy 💅✨

Berry brunch just got very popular around here 🍓🫐
Turn your back for one second and suddenly you’ve got a full flock RSVP’ing “YES” to snack time. No manners, no sharing… just a whole lot of beaks deep in blueberries like they pay the feed bill.
Honestly though, this is the kind of chaos I live for—sunshine, happy hens, and a berry buffet that didn’t stand a chance.
Farm life = zero personal space, but 10/10 entertainment 😂🐓

Good morning from Nuggy the Crested Frost Legbar🐓☀️
“Just a heads up—I’ve already crowed at the sun, patrolled the yard, and made sure everyone knows I’m in charge… so if you’re still on your first cup of coffee, you’re behind.” 😌

Breed spotlight:
Golden-laced beauty with a little bit of attitude ✨
The Barnevelder hen is one of those breeds that stops you in your tracks. Each feather is edged in rich black, creating that stunning double-laced pattern over warm chestnut brown—it’s like she’s dressed up even on an ordinary day.
But she’s more than just pretty. Barnevelder hens are known for their calm, friendly personalities and steady egg production. They lay beautiful dark brown eggs and tend to do well in a variety of setups, from backyard flocks to small farms.
I have four of these beautiful ladies in my flock, and they never fail to catch my eye every single day. They bring just the right mix of elegance and personality to the coop.
Around here, she’s the kind of hen that quietly steals the spotlight—confident, dependable, and just a little bit fancy without even trying.
Who else has a soft spot for these laced ladies? 🖤🥚

Get chickens they said, it will be fun they said. No one mentioned how they will eat your plants before you even get them in the ground 🤦♀️.
