I just want to say how much I appreciate everyone who came out and took part in our skate event at Derby Down Alabama. The support, the energy, and the encouragement from this community really stood out. It was awesome to see so many parents open to letting their kids try something like skateboarding. Not every kid finds their place in team sports, and it’s great to see families supporting what truly sparks their kids’ interest.
I’m very thankful to the parents who trusted me to work with and teach their kids. That trust means a lot to me, and I’d love to continue building on this by putting together more events like this in the future. The turnout was strong, but it’s only a small preview of what this can grow into. This is just the start of something that can become a big positive for our city.

BIG SHOUT OUT to everyone who helped make the derby so special and an even BIGGER SHOUT OUT to Maverick Events, River City Woodworks and White Bison Visuals for understanding the importance and what comes out of helping build a new skate community.

Dru Holmes was the one who helped make this day everything it was! Every board given came straight from his donations! It’s great to have people on the team that share the same vision.

Here's your Derby Day Rundown! We'll see ya'll Saturday!

Spending time at the dragon boat races this year was such an incredible experience. Getting out to take photos and videos, meeting so many great people, and feeling the energy from everyone involved reminded me why I love this community so much. There’s something special about seeing people come together. Teams competing, families cheering, friends laughing, and everyone supporting one another. Events like this show the heart of our community, and I’m grateful I got to capture even a small part of it. Thank you to everyone who stopped to talk, shared a smile, or let me capture your moments throughout the day. I’m already looking forward to next year!
