My Donors Choose friends! Back in August I wrote for some cardboard tools (safe saw, “scrus”, “scru” driver, hole maker, and a perforating roller for folds.) Last month 2nd and 3rd graders we learned how to use the tools safely and correctly making small things. It’s important for them to know how to use tools. It was all leading up to a big, BIG project which 3rd graders have made - making a dragon from recycled cardboard. Well - we’re almost done!! When complete the dragon will be over sixteen feet, have wings, and scales! I can’t wait to see it all put together!!

Fourth grade finished a foil repousse with sharpie this week. We created a yarn drawing - a tree or any design they wanted that had many intersections. I sprayed their cardboard/yarn painting with spray glue and covered it with heavy duty foil. The students took a piece of felt and rubbed the foil onto the glued surfaces so the yarn was elevated. The next class we layered sharpie on the foil. They are ready to hang!
