E.Barkley Art

Come see me in one of my favorite places!

Do you have Monte Sano Art Festival, presented by Damson Automotive Huntsville, on your radar?? It should be on your calendar right now!

📅 September 19 - 20
📍 Monte Sano State Park

I’m in Mobile and all set up for the Loyola Art Show! I could get used to these indoor art shows 😉

Hey friends! Here’s where you can find my art in the next few months. Emily

I’m so excited to be participating in this show! It will be my first indoor art show and first time to exhibit in South Alabama.

Today we celebrate World Art Nouveau Day. 🌿

Often regarded as the first truly self-conscious attempt to forge a modern visual language, Art Nouveau swept through the arts from the early 1890s until the First World War — decorative, sensual, and utterly uncompromising in its beauty.

Rooted in the natural world, the movement gave us some of the most captivating imagery ever committed to canvas and print: delicate tendrils, fluid organic forms, swooping lines, eccentric geometry, and figures of an almost otherworldly elegance.

Alphonse Mucha embodied these ideals completely. His iconic poster designs didn’t merely reflect the Art Nouveau style — they helped define it. Through his luminous women, intricate botanical borders, and signature harmony of line and ornament, Mucha elevated commercial art to something transcendent, and in doing so, gave the movement much of its enduring visual identity.

All set up for Arts Alive in Florence, Al 🎨

You can find my art and many others this weekend in downtown Florence 🎨🎨

Rain or Shine, We’re On! ☀️🌧️

Arts Alive is happening no matter the weather. A little sunshine or a few raindrops, we are ready for it all! Plan ahead, dress for the day, and come enjoy the festival with us.

I’m still smiling because Panoply was so amazing this year! I sold paintings to so many wonderful people and bought art from some very talented artists. Thank you to all my collectors and new friends I made this weekend! ♥️ Thank you for putting on a stellar festival. There are 2 more chances to see my art in North Alabama this Spring/Summer, details soon!

Panoply is this weekend! If you’re there, you can find me in booth 51, close to the museum of art. I have a new collection of nature art that I’m so excited to share!

Happy Easter friends! All things made new♥️
