Hello all, we’re back with another couple shows coming up very soon…

1) First is 💎DIAMOND FEST💎 in Wilmington, DE at on Feb 21st / 22nd!! It’s being put on by our friends over at and there’s way more cool stuff going on than I can type here so check out the links in their bio for tickets and whatnot.
It’s been Over A Year(!!!) since our last full-band Delaware show, so we hope to see lots of familiar faces :)

Story time: I went to yesterday solely for the purpose of drinking my beloved Surge soda again for the first time in many years. If you’ve known us since the early days, you’ll know this is a very big deal for me lmao… I even called them last week to confirm it was still there, and I was told they did still have Grape Surge. Cool, close enough. I got super excited, and bought a ticket.

On my way in, I was complimented by a bunch of employees because I was wearing my old surge hoodie, “oh hey nice sweatshirt, yknow you can drink it upstairs!” etc… I get inside, they scan my ticket, and the first employee I see once I’m inside goes “cool sweater, we just got rid of that one here…”

!!!!!!!!!!!!

So anyway, friendship with the Coca Cola corporation is over. They are now my mortal enemies, and .atl are our new best friends for getting that shirt.

is Cherry Pepsi any good? I guess I have to start drinking that now instead of Cherry Coke…

Tonight, we return to Florida with a show at The Den in Pensacola, FL!! It’s been a while since we’ve been here, and also I believe we’ve never played FL panhandle! (we did play Tallahassee once before, and I asked the people at the show last night if that counts as the panhandle, but they seemed unsure)

We’re playing our first show of 2026 tonight in Hattiesburg, MS at Total Recall. Hattiesburg was seriously one of our favorite stops on the last big long tour we did, and I promise I’m not doing that stupid dinosaur rockstar thing where they just say whatever city they’re currently in is their favorite.

also, we took a detour into New Orleans on our way to MS today and we learned that all four members of CCR were born in California and not in fact the bayou. Truly disheartening. Nawlins was fun tho.

Merrycanical Caninemas!! Is that anything??

We’ve finally bounced back from the illness that made us cancel that big long tour this summer, so we’re about to try and get back in the saddle… we threw together a quick mini run of shows around NYE and we’re excited to finally get back on the road!

Between the chaos of booking, the season, and my own personal efforts to be less online, I almost forgot to post about this. But in the words of the dock workers in the hit film Ghostbusters 2 when the Titanic pulls up to port… “better late than never”

Got some bad news for everyone:

the remainder of our tour this summer is cancelled due to illness. One of us got mono, so we’ve gotta turn around and head home. I cannot emphasize enough that this is the last thing we ever wanted to do, and I’m incredibly sorry to anyone who was planning to come out to a show to see us / all the folks who did us favors to set up these shows, but we sincerely don’t have any other option at this point.

We’ve powered through quite a bit on previous tours, but this time there just wasn’t any way around the reality of the situation. I suppose for as long and frequently as we’ve been touring, we’re pretty lucky that this is the first time something this serious has happened to us. But of course, it’s still no fun.

If you want to help us make it back to Philly from Nebraska, we’ve put all of our merch up on our fancy new webstore (mechanicalcanine.limitedrun.com). The webstore was supposed to launch at the end of the tour (and in a way, I guess it still is? lol), but we’re just going to put everything up there now since we won’t have any show income anymore to help us stay truckin. We’ve got a whole bunch of shirts with dates on the back that aren’t going to happen anymore, so you can snag one of those for pretty cheap. Check it out maybe?
