We extend our deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for the life and legacy of Judge David Breland.
For over 25 years, Judge Breland served the people of Morgan County with wisdom, fairness, and an unwavering commitment to justice. His contributions to our community extended far beyond the courtroom.
As the historian for the City of Decatur, and through his dedicated work with Decatur Parks and Recreation, Judge Breland played a vital role in preserving and sharing our city's rich history. His leadership at the Decatur Train Depot and Old State Bank turned beloved landmarks into living storybooks of our community's past.
Judge Breland's service was marked by a rare and genuine love for his city. He gave generously of his time,
knowledge, and heart-always seeking to make Decatur a better place for generations to come.
He will be truly missed, but his legacy will live on in the institutions he cared for, the people he served, and the city he helped shape.
Thank you, Judge Breland.
Your impact will not be forgotten. Parks & Recreation will truly miss your infectious laugh and friendship!
