MacArthur High School Counselors

To All:
The Heartland Technical Academy recognizes outstanding students quarterly. They are selected on performance in the classroom and laboratory activities, as well as positive characteristics. This includes work ethic, professionalism, attitude, and attendance.
The students will receive their certificate this week from their instructors.

I may be biased, but we took the BEST group to ADM today. They were so respectful, had thoughtful questions and really took it all in. If it were up to me, they'd all get hired! Sadly, there are only four spots for the county so crossing our fingers for our students!

Congrats to all of our Honor students for 3rd quarter!!

Our students are awesome!! They have collected 550 individual pairs of socks this month for Northeast Community Funds Love Thy Neighbor campaign!
We are still collecting socks up through Thursday of this week!

April Service Learning Idea!

We took a trip to Caterpillar today for some Junior students could take a tour and could learn more about the Caterpillar Internship through DPS! Thanks for hosting us!

Congrats to the Juniors that earned High Honor Roll and Honor Roll for 1st semester! Keep up the good work!

We took many freshman, sophomores and a few juniors to the AG Academy to try AG today! They made their own keychains, learned how to do some floral designing and did some aroma smell testing. We also took a ride out to the AG Farm!

Our last college visit of the season! Students went to MTI to visit the welding, HVAC and pipe fitting program.

We had a great time Exploring the Arts at Millikin. Students were able to see so many different art majors Millikin has to offer!

MHS and EHS Juniors toured University of Illinois in Springfield today. It’s a lovely campus!

We learned so much at MTI in Springfield today! So many tech programs that are 9 months or less to get certifications to become a skilled worker!
