Established in 1984 by three Atlanta Symphony Orchestra principal musicians, the Georgian Chamber Players bring masterpieces of the chamber repertoire to Atlanta audiences. Join members of the Georgian Chamber Players for a special afternoon of chamber music at the iconic Spivey Hall on March 1st at 3:00 PM.

This program will feature works by Grieg, Mendelssohn, and Schumann, performed by violinist David Coucheron, pianist Julie Coucheron, violist Zhenwei Shi and cellist Efe Baltacigil.

While we continue working on securing a replacement date for the concert that was unfortunately postponed in January due to inclement weather, we hope you will join us in the meantime to enjoy this inspiring program in one of Atlanta’s most beloved halls.

Georgian Chamber Players Announce 2025/2026 Season!
ATLANTA, GA — The Georgian Chamber Players (GCP) are delighted to announce their 2025/2026 concert season, featuring a series of dynamic performances that highlight the artistry and virtuosity of Atlanta Symphony Orchestra principal musicians alongside distinguished guest artists.

Season Opening at Eddie’s Attic

The season launches on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the iconic Eddie’s Attic in Decatur. The evening will feature Beethoven’s electrifying Piano Trio in C minor, with guest cellist Charae Krueger, Mendelssohn’s spirited Adagio and Allegro Brilliante for piano four hands, and a special arrangement of Monti’s beloved Czardas.

A Tribute to Christopher Rex

On Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., GCP presents a heartfelt concert at Trinity Presbyterian Church honoring the legacy of founding member, the late cellist Christopher Rex. This tribute includes Borodin’s luminous String Quartet No. 2, a work deeply personal to Rex as it was performed at his wedding.

Grand Season Finale at Ahavath Achim Synagogue

The season concludes on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Ahavath Achim Synagogue. Showcasing the synagogue’s two grand pianos, pianists Elizabeth Pridgen and Julie Coucheron will perform Rachmaninoff’s magnificent Suite No. 2 for Two Pianos, an exhilarating finale to the season.
