Getting ready for the Season!
We're just 14 weeks from opening day — Nov. 27 — and it's time to give the Class of 2026 their final haircut!
This trim is a little different from the ones Jamie has given them over the past few years. Until now, he's made deeper cuts to shape the trees and guide their growth. But these trees are almost ready to head home with you, so now they just need a little off the edges to keep them from getting scraggly.
We do their final trim in August, giving them just enough time to grow out a bit before Christmas and soften those freshly cut edges for a more natural look.
One last haircut...then it's on to Christmas! 🎄

Sometimes you just have to cut your losses.
Some of our most beautiful trees developed a disease that became evident this summer...and they have to go to protect the rest of the crop. It's incredibly disappointing. These were some of the first trees we planted four years ago and were planning to sell this year. 😞
But that's part of farming: to raise a healthy product, you sometimes have to make hard decisions. Sometimes years of work never make it to Christmas.
But with every disappointment, we're learning, adapting, and already planning how to make next year's crop even healthier.🌲 Thanks for following along with the journey—even the hard parts.
