Partnership for Community Action, Inc. is hosting a Back-to-School Festival on July 25, 2026! We’re providing backpacks, school supplies, family resources, plus fun activities for local youth.

LIHEAP opens to the general public on May 1 at 7:00 AM.

Appointments will open at 7:00 AM. No appointments can be booked before that time.

PCA serves residents of DeKalb, Gwinnett, Newton, Rockdale, and Walton counties only.

Appointments are required and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while funding is available. Limited walk-ins will be accepted at service locations on May 1.

Due to high call volume, please schedule your appointments through our website whenever possible.

Before your appointment, please make sure you bring copies of all required documents, including:

• Photo ID for the applicant
• Social Security cards for all household members
• Proof of income for all household members age 18 and older
• Current electric bill

Please remember, an appointment does not guarantee assistance. Clients should continue making payments on their electric bill.

Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

The Georgia Community Action Association is offering a $2,500 scholarship for eligible Georgia residents who are currently enrolled in or accepted to a post-secondary educational institution.

To apply, students must meet income eligibility requirements and complete an essay titled “What Community Action Has Meant to My Community.”

Applications are due by May 15 at 12:00 noon.

Haven’t received heating assistance yet?

PCA will accept walk-ins on Friday, March 27, and Monday, March 30 for clients who have not yet been seen.

Clients will be served on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.

Please make sure you bring all required documents with you. You cannot be seen unless you have ALL required documents.

PCA is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Program Specialist to support our LIHEAP department. Depending on organizational needs and candidate strengths, this position may be assigned to support intake processing, auditing, homebound client coordination, and/or phone room operations.
