My addiction lead me down dark and dirty roads. After six years of active addiction and denial, I came to realize I had a problem. I started the road to recovery by myself and managed to stay clean for five months. I eventually relapsed because I tried to stay sober on my own I spent another four months in active addiction before I checked myself into detox. While in detox, I researched sober living homes and recovery homes; that is how I found the House of Hope and my angel in disguise, Ms. Rosie Hightower. I came to the House of Hope where I was introduced to the love of Christ and warm hugs from Rosie. I can now see hope in my future because Rosie has shown me the path to peace through Jesus Christ.
