Reflection Of The Mind

Posted Note

The jagged edge knife,
Dislodged from your back
Was mine;
The pain and sacrifice
Rendered me wrong
To the injustice;
How poignant a confession,
To divulge the truth;
There's no rhyme or reason,
For a relationship with you;
However humble or meek,
It's time for me to leave;
And my posted note reads,
Now we know,
Why we can't do this.

Far Away

Amid the depth
Of a dessert,
Surrounded
By oceans of sand,
The universe reveals
The humble soul
Of a lonely man;
As still as the motion,
Of this isolated moment,
Stagnant energy
Reasons with the motivation
To keep going;
And the enigmatic abyss,
Far ahead of me,
Equates the distance
Of memories left behind me;
Open space;
Infinite time;
No map or sign for guidance;
Reality is my state of mind.
