Crept out of “retirement “ yesterday. Did a class with the basket weaving group in Maroa.

They learned how to take thin slices of canes that I made ahead, then apply them to the handles of their weaving tools.

In polymer clay world, a cane is a patterned loaf or log of clay. It’s borrowed from glass-working terminology.

Hoping to return with a cane-making class in the future.
