We are a true Mom and Pop Restaurant. We are Jeff and Roxanna. We began our business because the company we worked for went bankrupt.
My husbands family had been in the BBQ business that was started in 1969. When his Dad passed that business closed. We had been out of the BBQ business for 25 years or longer. We planned to open our business as a tribute to Jeff's father. The logo we use is the same one used in 1969. We opened in 2010 and we work VERY HARD to make sure we serve the best quality food we can. we have poured everything we have into this small business. Some people even told us we would fail, but like my husband told them we are going to give it everything we got we had no choice. The jobs we had were gone.. So that is how we opened.
I bake the desserts and the recipes we use for our coleslaw, baked beans and potato salad are my family recipes. The BBQ sauce is my Husbands family recipe. We employee 12 young people who have families that they support. We all work very hard to make sure we plan and smoke the correct amounts of meat. it is not easy to predict the amounts we are going to need for every dinner service. Sometimes we sell out and sometimes we don't. I praise the Lord above when we get it right..
My niece and I run the register and we ask how was your meal because we really want to know if everything was good.
