The DHS Band is honored to have received 2 grants this year. We want to send a big thank you to the Alabama Council on the Arts as well as the Alabama Arts Education Initiative. These grants will help purchase new chairs and stands for our bandroom.

Congratulations to the DHS Concert Band on earning straight 1’s today at their annual performance assessment. They also earned a perfect score in sight-reading!

On 02-07-2025, the Decatur City Indoor Drumline (Decatur & Austin High School) dominated their first indoor competition at Hoover High School!!! So proud—keep up the amazing work!!!🔥👏

Congratulations to Andy Ramirez for auditioning and earning a spot in the Alabama District 1 Honor Band! He was also selected as an alternate clarinet for the Alabama All-State Band.
