Many of you know our employee and friend, Russ Harrelson, was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), an aggressive form of brain cancer. As Russ and his family walk through this journey, we want to come together as a community to support him and raise awareness for brain cancer research.

This weekend, Blazer Bolt Inc. is hosting the Blazer Bolt for Brain Cancer 5K benefiting the UAB Division of Neuro-Oncology and Children’s of Alabama Neuro-Oncology through funding research and patient support. Because of the incredible care Russ has received at UAB, this cause is especially meaningful to the Harrelson family.

While many of us can’t attend the Birmingham event, we are signing up for the virtual 1-mile fun run (though we’ll definitely be walking!) and gathering at Delano Park near the pavillion on Sunday, May 17th at 2:00 PM to walk together in support of Russ. We know Russ is loved by so many in this community and invite anyone who would like to join us to wear GREY and come walk alongside us.

You do not have to register to join us - just show up and walk alongside us as we pray for and support them! If you would like to register/donate, you can register through the event link in the comments and join the “Prayers for Russ” team.
