THIS SUNDAY NIGHT !!

Defensiveness can become a hang-up… and sometimes we don’t even realize we’re doing it.

We explain.
We justify.
We make excuses.
We point out what THEY did.
We prepare our response before the other person even finishes talking.

Why?

Because admitting we were wrong can feel like admitting we’re not enough.

But recovery teaches us something different…

Correction isn’t rejection.
Accountability isn’t an attack.
Admitting you were wrong doesn’t make you weak.

Sometimes growth begins with three simple words…

“I was wrong.”

You don’t have to defend everything.
You don’t have to win every conversation.
You don’t have to protect your pride.

God can do a lot with a heart that is willing to be corrected.

“Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise.” Proverbs 15:31
