📌 Let’s normalize saying “I don’t know” and partnering with licensed therapists or practicing psychiatrists when attempting to assist our members with navigating through trauma.
📌 Let’s not over spiritualize crises that require therapeutic or medicinal intervention. Those behaviors and that psychosis that we resolved to call “demons” just because we didn’t have the education or experience to properly define….well science has given us evidence, resources AND tools to identify, understand and treat them.
📌 It’s perfectly ok, and takes nothing from your competence to lead them spiritually to admit when you are limited in an area of expertise and knowledge. Your care as a pastor shows up in an even greater way as you utilize your network of professional peers and colleagues as a benefit to the holistic wellbeing of your faith community.

The protection of the progression of any rehabilitation process is a collaborative effort. The responsibility lies primarily upon the direct beneficiary of the process but it includes the integrity of those who surround them in support.
Environment is an imperative area of concentration whenever supporting a loved one through behavioral adjustment. This is not limited to geographical location, but it is inclusive of energetic alignment and activity.
This is the inference of Paul’s teaching of chopping off what offends our brother. There are some versions of you that should NEVER be offered to those who can’t handle its contents in totality. This is not hypocrisy, it’s integrity!💪🏾

In 2020, I gave a resolution that I think is relative to the season of time that we are currently navigating through. I think it’s appropriate to encourage every listener with the same message 6 years later. ✊🏾
