Gonna be a busy day in the Dirty D, so enjoy the community as a whole. Hit the Decatur Craft Beer Festival early, then snag a trolley and head to the Oakwood area for some more live music and art. Come hungry, as all Oakwood restaurants will be open, and ready to feed you...choose from Lock Stock & Barrel, SkyCity GRILL, The Winery, Head West Subs, and University Dogs!!! IT'S BEEN ENTIRELY TOO LONG SINCE THE STREET WAS CLOSED OFF FOR LIVE MUSIC AND ART!!! BE THERE!!!

Oakwood area businesses owners excited by the prospect of local improvements The City of Decatur is planning for the revitalization of the Oakwood Business District, roughly the area of Oakland Avenue between West Main and West Wood Streets.

The city is seeking feedback how to better serve the Oakwood Business District. See the link in the comments to complete the survey.

Farewell to Danielray Pickrel of Rayzzle Dazzle Neighborhood Cleanup. After over a decade volunteering countless hours to clean up litter in Decatur, he is officially moving out of town. You've probably seen him roller blading around town with a trash picker. Thank you Danielray for your service! Lets follow his example and keep the community clean. 🚯♻️

Be sure to check out all the great live music happening downtown this weekend. This fest is coordinated by one of the organizers of Oakwood Block Party, Darin Coffman. He is continuing our format downtown with 2 nights of live music and multiple stages.
