It is election day and we need to get out the vote! Please make a short video encouraging people to vote. If each one reaches 10, we will win. All the necessary information is located here in my video. If you have any issues voting or need to know where your polling location is call (855) 458-6837. Regardless of your polling place, you are also able to vote down at 141 S. Main St. If you have any issues reach out to me or call the number provided. If you want to come out and canvas to make sure people are out and voting up until 7 PM you can do so. We also have opportunities for phone making for those that can’t walk door to door.

Melverta Wilkins & Sista Girl and Friends don’t get enough recognition for the work they do here in our community. Last week, they showed out at the annual Sista Girl Soirée. Had a great time with great people. Looking forward to next year!

Decatur Public Schools is excited to again offer an opportunity for DPS students to sign up for summer programs through our community partners, and DPS will pay for registration fees.
This is the second year for the Summer Sign-Up partnerships. District #61 will pay entry and registration fees for kindergarten through 12th grade DPS students who sign up and attend summer camps and programs offered through our community partners.
DPS will host the Summer Sign-Up Event on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at MacArthur High School. All participating summer programs will be in attendance at the event so that families can see what’s available and sign up students for those programs.
DPS will also host a Community Resource Fair during the same event, to connect families to community resources and programs, including healthcare, workforce development, utility assistance, and more.
