Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a reminder that freedom has never been handed to us. It has been fought for, protected, and carried forward through generations. The resilience of African Americans and their fight for liberation did not only transform America. Alongside movements like the Haitian Revolution and the struggles for independence across Africa, every step toward Black freedom has pushed all of us forward. Our histories are connected. I’m noticing that Instagram is limiting the amount of times you can repost a video to your followers? Is anyone noticing this or is it just me?

I blows my mind how seldomly I see artists support each other. When you share other artists posts, especially in your genre, not only does it create content for you but it gives you an opportunity to entertain your audience for free. That’s win, win. Win - content created for free Win - audience finds value in following you Win - positive community effect Win - algorithmic boost for participating on the platform Give give give - ask. Just finished this dress that I started in the US when I was there the other day packing. I got the material last year October in Barbados. Very easy sew and I love the fit going to make another.

My new workspace for sewing and crafts is coming together. Still on the lookout for a proper sewing table, but historically, people used whatever tables were available, like kitchen tables. Due to my hips and knees that are snapping, crackling, and popping, 🤣🤣🤣🤣 finding a suitable cutting table is a priority. A small table for the serger is also needed; for now, the current arrangement will have to do.
