What a crowd we had last night at our End of Year Program and Preschool Graduation! We want to say thank you to each of you who attended to support your student. They have grown so much this year, and we are so proud of them!

🎡 Don’t forget, our last day of school Carnival is tomorrow! Your child doesn’t need to bring anything, just themselves and ready for fun! We can’t wait to see them there!

The wonderful Cammy Whetsell Boaz blessed our teachers today with an amazing Cinco de Mayo Teacher Appreciation lunch! She purchased, prepped, served, and cleaned up for our entire staff without letting us lift a finger. She spent hours on her feet making sure everything was taken care of.

Today, you truly were the hands and feet of Jesus to us, and we are so grateful for your servant’s heart. Thank you for loving on our staff so well. It was such a blessing, and we appreciate you more than you know!

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible teachers at The Children’s Place Mother’s Day Out program. Your patience, kindness, and dedication mean more than words can express. You create a safe, joyful space where little hearts can learn, grow, and feel loved every single day.

Thank you for the hugs, the encouragement, the creativity, and the countless small moments that make such a big difference. You are shaping lives in the most beautiful way, and we are so grateful for everything you do.

Our final Legacy Post of the year celebrates Katie Huddleston!

Katie’s connection to The Children's Place began many years ago when she attended as a child herself and her mom used to teach. Now, that continues with the next generation. Her daughter, Lila, spent a couple of years at The Children's Place, building memories and friendships along the way.

Today, her son Guy is carrying on the legacy in the Littles room, bringing the family’s journey full circle. It’s truly heartwarming to see families return and grow with us across generations.

We are so grateful to be part of the Huddleston family’s story—past, present, and future. ❤️

Our second Legacy Family of the year is the Hicks family!

Michael attended TCP from 1999–2002, and now his family is part of our community in such a special way. His wife, Cacey, is one of our wonderful three’s teachers. Their daughter Chesney is in Middle Tots, and Blaine is in Littles!

Be sure to check out Michael’s childhood Mebook photos, he once dreamed of becoming a firefighter. Today, he serves our community as a police officer. We love seeing how our TCP families grow!

Throughout the next week, we will be announcing our legacy students for this year! Legacy students are those whose parents attended The Children’s Place when they were younger.

This year, we are excited to celebrate our second double legacy family! Both Daniel and Kara McCurdy attended The Children’s Place as children. This year, Kara is teaching Middle Tots, their son Wyatt is in class with her, and their daughter Sally Mae is in one of our 2’s classes.

April Garden Day was so much fun! 🌱🥕🧄
Students enjoyed picking fresh spinach, carrots, and garlic from the garden and got to compost too!

A special thank you to Missy Tidwell Wood, a TCP grandparent, for coming to read a book to all of our classes. We loved having you join us and share in our garden day! 📚

We also have a new greenhouse in the garden thanks to our garden coordinator, Leah Robinson! ❤️
