1. “We are creating God’s will each day, by our own perception. We are its agents.” Might Bishop Pearson be suggesting that our divine capacity is actually co-creating with God?
2. Anselm of Canterbury argued finite sin against an infinite God deserves infinite punishment. Hosea Ballou challenges Anselm that eternal punishment does not reflect the character of God, thus punishment must reflect divine love. Which argument satisfies justice and redemption?
3. Space to discuss Song of Songs: was this book (anthology) written as a literal romantic poem and then later redressed as an allegory? If so, why?
