Exhale Pelvic Health is unique in that we offer telehealth appointments!
I asked myself how I could reach moms who otherwise would not have access to physical therapy because of childcare or transportation needs, or scheduling conflicts. The answer was clear: telehealth! It works especially well in pelvic floor therapy because our care is so heavily education-based. I have great success teaching patients about how to change their habits and move their bodies differently virtually as well.
I started this business during 2020, while also serving as the primary caregiver for my three young children, which gave me a deep insight into the struggles parents face when trying to take care of our own health and appointments. Telehealth makes pelvic floor PT available to so many more people!
I typically work with clients for 4 – 5 sessions, and refer them to in-person physical therapy as appropriate.
Do you have any questions about telehealth? Have you ever had a telehealth medical appointment? My first experience was my 6 weeks postpartum midwife appointment in April 2020!

We know 12 weeks seems like a long time! But this is what the current research suggests is the best option to protect your pelvic floor. You can work with pelvic floor PT while you wait, and waiting will decrease your risk of pelvic pain, incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.
It's worth the wait!
If you have questions about returning to running postpartum, let us know! We're offering a Return to Running postpartum, reach out via DM to pre- register now.
