Last week, we blew a trailer tire on the side of the road. While the rest of us had that brief “well… this isn’t ideal” moment, Garth stayed completely calm, made sure everyone was safe, and handled it quickly like he always does.

Luka Curbing wouldn’t run the way it does without his steady leadership, level head, and ability to keep moving forward no matter what challenge pops up.

The jobs may be what people see, but his calm under pressure is a huge part of what keeps this business rolling.

This condo project was all about blending function and curb appeal.

The neighbors worked together to make sure the shared front landscaping looked clean and cohesive, while our client wanted the sides and back to stay natural, practical, and easy to maintain.

With straight runs, a jog around the generator, easy gate access, and natural stone curbing, we created a design that’s both beautiful and built for everyday life. 🌿

Lou got to spend part of the weekend helping her Aunt Brenda on a curbing project, learning a little, laughing a lot, and making memories in the process.

This is one of the best parts of what we do — creating beautiful spaces while sharing moments like these along the way.

Sometimes the smallest details matter the most.

This project was extra special because these clients happened to be the parents of our previous Taylorville clients — just a couple blocks away (which almost never happens).

The goal here was simple: create a beautiful finished landscape edge that was easy to mow and easy to maintain, while also making sure it was safe and functional for everyday life. Since the homeowner’s wife has mobility challenges, we intentionally designed a flat step-over section in the curbing to make access safer and easier for her.

That’s what custom curbing is all about — not just curb appeal, but creating something tailored to the people who live there.

This Taylorville project was a special one.

Not only did this home get a beautiful curb upgrade with a Cobble Buff base, slate/walnut/clay antiquing, and our marble stamp… but we also had 3 very curious little supervisors on site 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

Our clients had 3 kiddos under the age of 6 and they were so excited watching the process that we made them their own stamped stepping stone and let them press their handprints into it. Safe to say they may be Luka Curbing’s newest apprentices.

Beautiful curb. Happy clients. Tiny concrete artists. That’s a good day in our book.
