During the 43rd Annual LAHC Gala, LAHC proudly awarded $60,000 in scholarships to deserving students pursuing their dreams through higher education.

Scholarship recipients & future University of Michigan students Meriam Abdulsater, Sarah Zorkot, Olivia Woons, and Belal Zahwi shared their career goals and, most importantly, what receiving this scholarship means to them personally.

These scholarships represent more than financial support — they represent opportunity, empowerment, and a brighter future for our communities.

PART 1: Meet the future leaders making a difference🎓

During the 43rd Annual LAHC Gala, LAHC proudly awarded $60,000 in scholarships to deserving students pursuing their dreams through higher education.

We had the opportunity to speak with four of this year’s scholarship recipients — Meriam Abdulsater, Sarah Zorkot, Olivia Woons, and Belal Zahwi — all of whom will be attending the University of Michigan this fall.

They shared the impact they hope to make in the world, the communities they want to serve, and the difference they aspire to create through their future careers and education.
