When you've been working in the garden and you come inside and feel something crawling on the inside of your bare foot, you dont wanna look. I might, might have screamed, just a little. It was a huge cricket thingy.

Finally getting the weeds back from the tomatoes and corn. So much work to still do. But progress. I can at least find the tomatoes

I used rubber bands to attach some comb to frames for the bees on Friday. They have already attached the comb themselves, chewed thru the rubber bands and were dragging this one out. I saw it sticking out of the entrance and pulled it out for them. Bees are so amazing at their work.

First ripe tomatoes of 2026! They are the very large cherry tomatoes and grape tomatoes, but it counts! We had to have some right out of the herb garden. I planted these two types in the herb garden since they are for salad and thats where most of the salad items are located.

I love the blue, pink and swirling purple blooms and they taste like cucumbers.

Borage (Borago officinalis) is a hardy, self-seeding annual herb known for its edible, star-shaped blue flowers that taste like cucumber and attract pollinators like bees. It's a low-maintenance companion plant for vegetables like tomatoes and strawberries, improving soil and deterring pests, though its sprawling growth needs management. Borage thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerates poor conditions, and is grown from seed, with its leaves and flowers used in salads, drinks, and as garnishes.

There are alot more uses for this plant if you look it up.

Between weather and other circumstances the weeds got away from us. Ragweeds were 4 foot tall. We'll no longer! We have turned the corner on this battle!

Tomatoes are coming along nicely. Now to get all of them(144+) staked and weeded.
