Wherever the gospel has been proclaimed, other voices have always sought to reshape it, soften it, or add to it. John faced it in the early church where false teachers have infiltrated and led new believers astray. But we also face it today through the distortion of truth on all fronts.

On Sunday, we’ll consider the simple, yet challenging litmus test for “How You Know” if you are living in the truth or in a world created by your own fantasy. Meaningful worship, deep truth, and all with your brothers and sisters in Christ—it’s what Sunday Celebration is all about. So gather your crew, invite a friend, and get over to LIFE Church Springfield for ongoing spiritual formation. You’ll be so glad you did!

ROOTED is a discipleship journey that covers 7 rhythms of a healthy spiritual life pursuing Jesus. 12 weeks with 5 daily devotions for prayer and self-examination, and a weekly gathering to unpack the amazing things God shows us, that all build upon each other.

Even if you can point to these rhythms in your life we often over-state how intentional we are, and under-estimate how much deeper God wants to help us grow in Him. Whether you are new to following Jesus, or a life-long Christian, ROOTED will help you grow.

All of us need those moments in life when we reaffirm core commitments. It’s the time when we plant a flag in the ground of our character and behaviors—“This is who we are; this is what we do.” That’s what “Back to Church” is about and we’ll gather this Sunday to commit ourselves to engage in spiritual growth together over the upcoming year.

On Sunday, you’ll hear about the new palette of Life Groups and have opportunity to sign up. We’ll also dig into First John 1:5-2:2, considering the stark contrast of light and darkness and how our profession of faith is worthless without stepping out of the shadows of the sin-dominated life.

So join us for a day marked with deep meaning, clarified values, inspiring worship and God’s Word, followed by food and fun for everyone. This is going to be an amazing Sunday at LIFE Church Springfield!

Women of Life Movie Night is this Friday, September 11th!

We’ll be watching I Can Only Imagine together in the sanctuary at Life Church. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the movie will begin at 7:00 PM.

The cost is $5, and we’ll have popcorn, water, and soda. Don’t forget to bring a friend! We’re looking forward to a fun night of faith, friendship, and encouragement together!

As we launch into the fall season, it’s our opportunity to recapture the rhythm of consistent Sunday worship. On Sept 13th, we’ll be celebrating what God is doing at Life Church, and launching into a new season of spiritual formation through Life Groups and Rooted. You’ll hear about new studies, new groups, and how you can get involved in the pursuit of completeness in Christ.

We’re planning a powerful day with fun stuff for the kids, Life Group Info Stations, and great food following each of our Sunday Celebrations. So plot it on your calendar. It’s a “Back to Church Sunday” that you won’t want to miss!

It’s decades since he heard the words from the Master, “Follow me.” The fisherman is now an old sage, the remaining apostle who addresses his spiritual children in simple, yet profound words. Woven throughout John’s three formal letters called “epistles” are important themes: Life, Light, Love. And John uses these words to vividly shape what it means to genuinely follow Jesus.

This Sunday, we launch into a new series that will energize our spiritual growth.
