Ruff Transport

Lots of riders Thursday- Freedom Rides for 31, included several litters and some heartbreaking adults in very poor shape. Thank you Barely Used Pets!

Friday Freedom Rides for 8 adults plus a litter of 7. Big Sammy the Pyrenees spent the night and we drove his first leg of transport this morning with Toni's Team.

Transport today for these cuties heading to three different rescues.
Yes they are adorable, but no they were NOT safe. You would be so surprised by the variety of dogs out there being discarded. The rescues are a life line to make sure they get medical attention and care so they can get homes of their own. Transport makes that all possible when the help offered is hours away.

Momma Mocha and her 8 babies were dumped in rural area to fend for themselves. She spent the night here and this morning we meet up with Toni’s Team to get her to Lamancha. Thanks Beth Wallin Cassady for saving them from the road, wild animals, dehydration, starvation, tick infestations and bad people.

Skylar is the black pittie mix. She is suffering from years of breeding, ear bleeding/infections, ear hematomas and was covered in ticks of all sizes. She was in a lot of pain. Your donations helped pay for her to see a vet prior to her Freedom Ride yesterday. She had waited long enough to get some help.

The rest of the 19 dogs on board are very lucky to get out of the shelters they came from. They are on their way to better days and we thank you for your support of Ruff Transport and the rescues that helped this run Adopt A Pit Cause for Canines and LaMancha Animal Rescue

We helped bring up a litter of pups a few weeks ago. When they went to collect the pups on transport day, they were one short. We feared the worst for the missing pup.
She was found a few days later thank goodness! I guess KiKi just wanted her own private ride to rescue so that's what she got on Tuesday. Thanks Cindy Roberts Armstrong for making sure she got to safety, and to the rescue of KiKi and her littermates Barely Used Pets.

Friday, Ruff Transport had 34 dogs on board. 14 adults ( 2 pregnant) and 22 puppies (4 litters). One made it to her fosters just in time. She had 9 beautiful babies in safety last night. 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶. So I "kind of" had 45 passengers - haha

Thats a lot of dogs-I know. Not something I think is a good idea on a regular basis. But I have transported large numbers before. It takes hours and hours of prep in communications and van arrangement. But the process helps everything go smoother on transport day, and saves many problems that may have come up.
We also had some overnighters and they are making their way to Lamancha in PA today with Toni's Team . Thanks for your support!

Our run today was a 3 Hound Freedom Ride. We were part of longer transports that included two foxhounds that have not been able to secure a ride for over a month, and a pregnant Hound that needed sprung from the shelter asap. We drove Lexington to North Dayton for these 3 and hurried back home to welcome a mom amd her two pups spending the night. They were extremely urgent due to their living situation.

Thanks to the wonderful lady and her daughter (i didn't catch their names!) who brought them all the way from southern KY to me today in OH. That's a rough drive but it saved their life.♥️
