Watched this giant 20 incher eat the bait. I knew there was a big in this spot since it revealed its home when it bumped my glide a couple weeks ago. Went back this morning throwing something else, and BOOM, she smoked it. 2nd 20 incher this year :)

First fish one the TS6 and it was a solid 18 incher. She bumped it twice, so I sped it up like a fleeing bait fish, then BAM, she smoked it.

The jr swim rod kept her pinned and their sick beanie kept my head warm in the cool 45 degree temps this morning.

My buddy and I did pretty good a few days ago catching some decent smallies, with this one being my biggest. Big fish of the day was a 27ish inch channle that almost pulled to the rod out my hand.

I tried to cast under some overhanging branches, and my bait was just about to be lost to the tree gods. I yanked it back and bopped this smallie on the head. As soon as it splashed into the water, it got chomped.

This particular stretch has been producing some quality smallies when the river is at a very specific height. Even after fishing the river for decades, I still learn something new or find a cool new spot.

Found a couple picture worthy smallies on Friday. Both hit right as the bait hit the water. It's those "perfect casts" that show ya you're doing things right.

Had a good day on the river on Sunday. Got this 18 incher, my buddy got an 18.75, and I lost one at the bank that was substantially bigger. It's been a while since I lost a big, so thats gonna haunt me for a bit. Just gotta make sure my hooks aren't bent out ,and stay sharp.
