Big oh Kobe Ray seeing what he can get into.š„°
Back to my working in the lunch room. Nobody knows how little I made doing that except my co workers but top it off with a group of women that want to to determine your work and performance based on what they say! lol. Little girls that are not taught to be nice and be happy for others and their accomplishments grow up to be catty old women. Well, I experienced alot of this but it wasnāt just that , I knew what I was capable of, I knew we needed more income and I was being held back . I had a lot to offer!!
I love the American way!! A true entrepreneur takes risk, they can do what they want! In just a little amount of time God allowed me to not just double my income but I was bringing in 3 and 4x the amount I brought in from the lunch room , sometimes moreā¦Even through the pandemic I was considered a necessary worker and everyone wanted everything clean. God is sooo good!!!

Our precious Ivy Snow and her shopping bag. I canāt wait to visit Sophia in August and let her have her own shopping bag. I usually will send her money when we do these trips and she doesnāt get to go but this time we are going to her , so it will be fun spoiling her too!!
Most of us donāt share our stories, at least not all of them but if you have good things to share and you survived the good, bad and the uglyā¦why not? My oldest calls my facebook my imaginary friends! lol š It is what it is! You do you !!
I have used social media for alot of things, especially my business. Iām not stupid lol. šš
It s Saturday and Iāve enjoyed vacation with my family . We are driving back to Georgia with our daughter in laws new car they bought from our oldest daughter.
Iām thinking of all the things I want to do to our master bedroom! I canāt wait to bring it all about . Then on to the next project but first Ivy snow and James are coming to vbs in a couple of weeks!! We canāt wait!!š
Enjoy your summer but donāt forget to stay on task. šā¤ļø

Frank holding on to two of our beautiful grandchildren.š„°
As our kids were growing up we taught them the value of the dollar. In other words money doesnāt grow on trees. They worked when they were teenagers. There is a part of you that hates to put that on them so young but I believe it helps them in a lot of ways.
A lot of times when we were working extra jobs I would pay our oldest to do do laundry etc. I didnāt want her to feel my work fell on her and also for her to have the feeling of being paid for a job well done. An allowanceā¦.nothing wrong with it!
Our oldest were life guards for the YMCA during the summer and then afterschool workers during the school year. When they started driving they both paid for their own cars with money they saved from working themselvesā¦Grace worked at Chick fila. She loved it and especially when Mark came on the scene . I remember her telling me how he could sing and play any instrument, so talented! The boy sings like Randy Travis. ā¤ļø
Back to the working. It kept them from too much idle time. No time to get in trouble. We are thankful!
In the middle of all this Annie had been dating a young man that grew up in our Church and had rode our Church bus. Frank taught Andrew in childrenās Church. There will always be people to give you an opinion, we all have one. We have to think for ourselves. We prayed and knew that Andrew was a fine young man. They are definitely better together. Behind every good man is a strong woman. He has surpassed all the expectations we had for her! Excelling as a Sargent , a Marine. The best dad!! Iāve said heās Annieās right hand man, he helps her with everything and they take their kids to church! What a blessing!ā¤ļø

Our handsome grandson Jamesā¤ļø
As time went by I started cleaning some houses on the side. I would leave work and head to clean a home. This started about seven years ago but truly I had been cleaning homes off and on since I was a teenager. One job led to another and before I knew it I was the cats meow lol It was not by mistake but Gods plan for me. I remember when I told Frank I wanted to quit my job and do this full time ā¦..I felt led to do it. God knew we needed it. Frank wasnāt sure about it but he trusted me. ā¦To be honest I was nervous but I put my head down and probably worked the hardest I ever have in my life!!
God gave me such wisdom in planning and pricing jobs. I was cleaning homes with a Rolls Royce sitting outside of their home. I cleaned out campers for a man who flipped them. He paid me exceptionally well but it wasnāt without a price . I was cleaning up maggots. I canāt believe I did that but I gained confidence with each job. Now I have my regulars I clean for , Churches an office and just when I have a call every now and then.
I love the flexibility and making my own schedule. Pretty Soon Frank was winding down at the Sherrifs office . He had led the singing at Church for years but the Pastor needed to hire an assistant. He left the Sherrifs office and now is on full time staff at Lighthouse. He helps with all the visitation and checking on the elderly, widows and shutins and Plans all the music program and leads as well. Teaches in the high school Bible and History. He teaches Sunday School too!
Throughout the last seven years we have been blessed to travel more and spend more time with our kids.
I will never regret our Disney trips. Especially a few years ago we went all in and took Tim and Grace. She had just met the love of her life. We had no idea she would be engaged and married within the next year but we had a blast And I will cherish those memories forever. ā¤ļø We would have loved for Annie to go but she was already married and living her best life with her own little family in Beaufort, SC. š¤
Your so funny Ivy Snowš¤£
Pool days are the best days!
06/05/2026
We are riding to the pool this afternoon and it reminds me of our summer vacations with our kids. They were the best! šāāļø
Even in those hard years we made time for family vacation. I was working in the lunchroom and had summers off. So I had my own little day care going on. I always worked jobs that my kids could be with me . It was as very organized from the time they came in the door. I planned field trips and took them to the pool most days. One week I had an influx of kids come my way due to moms that had day care needs and needed a fill in. I gladly helped out making bankšµ I helped them and they helped me. I was able to pay for our summer vacation to the beach. I always tell my kids to be resourceful, there is always a way to make money and provide for your family. šā¤ļø

This is like dejavu for real! This little girl looks and acts just like her mother did. A blessing to have round 2š
God has purpose in everything. When Frank was a deputy he had great opportunity to be a blessing. He had a Sargent ask for advice regarding his son. When they needed a chaplain for a family, who do you think they called?! When in mates needed someone to reason with them and to diffuse the situation, yes, you know the answer.
I believe the difficulties in our life give us wisdom for the days before us. And how can we help other people if we are always tip toeing through the tulips! š· lolš¤£
Iāve said it before hard days help you do hard days.
There is nothing like that sound. It is so beautiful and relaxing!! The oceanš
Truly our children have been such a blessing to us. It was an honor for Frank to walk both our girls down the aisle when they married. God blessed us the opportunity to give both such gorgeous weddings.
The years went by swiftly. Frank spent a lot of time with Tim taking him to see ballgames. Itās something they both enjoyed. They planned road trips to see the braves in Florida for their spring training. In the midst of working and providing he took time with him.
Grace was growing up too. She was the baby and my side kick. We did Everything together. So confident and talented. We were not perfect parents and they are not perfect kids but they do love people and are not selfish. They grew up going with their grandparents to the nursing home as they had a ministry there. They would help get the patients to the service as their Papa preached.
We never expected Grace to get married so young and move so many miles away. I will never forget her coming home and talking about this Missionary boy at work. She loved music and they would talk about it and Church. Iāve said she met her husband at the Lords chicken place. Chick-fil-A! lol. But we are so thankful! She has such a wonderful husband and a beautiful life and He provides for her well.
As I ramble on ā¦lol. I never tell anything I wouldnāt want people to know. Often people make grand presumptions of you without truly knowing you. Their perspective comes from what they see on the service. If we are honest, we are all guilty of it. God gives us grace and we have to learn to give it to others too!

Whew! We are tired after a day at the beach. These grandbabies are sweet. Their mom and dad ordered us pizza, they left for a date ā¤ļøSo FaceTime with Aunt GiGi it was!
Back to our story; Frank excelled at his job as a deputy, I was working in the lunchroom. Tim was very sick with Chrones. I remember asking the doctor if he was going to dieš„¹He saidā¦We have to stop the ball from rolling down the hill. So many prayed, so many gave. Lighthouse Baptist Church was a blessing in many ways. They showed up at the hospital and prayed. We felt every prayer. I lived at the hospital with Tim it seemed days upon days.
The prayers were answeredšš»God miraculously healed our son . He had to have a long surgery removing about 12 inches of intestines. The turn around came and the sun showed again because the Son showed up!
The hard years donāt have to define you in a bad way but in a good way! Iām so glad that even through the hurts, dissapointments, set backs, sickness God saw us through it.
The enemy would have us focus on the bad but Joseph in all his hurt from his own family told themā¦You meant it for evil against me but God meant it for good! š ā¤ļø
