Cassie & Cindy 💕🌟

Cassie and Cindy are all about love and fun, with each other and everyone else. Although they came from tragic circumstances, you would never know that now. They are very happy, bright, energetic girls, full of sweetness and playfulness. Besides romping around in the yard and playing fetch, they adore cuddling and affection. They play together extremely nicely, and never fight, even over toys. They also get along well with other dogs.

Cassie and Cindy are mom and daughter, and their special bond is easily seen with how beautiful they interact with each other. Cassie, the mom, is white and tan, and about 4 years old. Cindy, the daughter, is white and grey, and about 3 years old. They are both a little overweight now, but should be about 13-14 pounds. Cindy’s left eye is blind and bluish in color, likely from prior trauma. Her right eye is normal and has good vision. The girls have not yet learned to walk on leashes, so their new home must have a nice, fenced yard for them. Cassie and Cindy can’t wait to share their love and good spirits with a new family. Rep. Nicholas Langworthy (R-N.Y.) and Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) recently introduced the Companion Animal Protection Against Cruel Testing (COMPACT) Act, which would prohibit the Department of Health and Human Services from using federal funds to purchase, breed, import, transport, house, or conduct biomedical research on dogs and cats.

The COMPACT Act would help end taxpayer support for experiments on dogs and cats while encouraging federal research funding to move toward human-based approaches that better translate to human health.

Puppy Alert 🧡

Roselle is as cute and sweet as they come. This little beauty is super adorable, friendly and playful, and will keep you smiling all day long. Roselle is full of fun, happy energy, but also well behaved for her young age. She loves to romp around and do zoomies in the yard and play fetch. Roselle also loves to receive affection and belly rubs, hang out in a cozy lap and give sweet little kisses. She also gets along with other dogs.

Roselle is a Shih Tzu, born approximately in May, 2026. She is currently about 4-5 months old and 7-8 pounds. She is everything you could ask for in a little Shih Tzu puppy girl: gorgeous and adorable, with a big, sweet, fun personality. 🧡 Tino 🧡is a gorgeous Shih Tzu/Poodle mix, about 7 years old and 17 pounds. After loosing his family and coming to the shelter, Tino took some time to adjust and show his true self. He is now doing well with our staff and volunteers, but can be aggressive towards the other dogs. With people, Tino is a great boy who is very sweet and friendly. He enjoys spending time cuddling in a nice lap, belly rubs, going for walks, and just hanging out. He will certainly make a wonderful companion for the right person, but he must be the only dog in his new family.

Diamond 💎 as her name implies, is truly a priceless gem. She is as sweet as they come and cherishes human companionship and affection. Diamond is a perfectly behaved, happy, loving angel, who is blind, but very well adjusted. She is very responsive to voice and usually shows this with friendly tail wagging. She loves to cuddle in a cozy lap, and walks nicely guided on a leash.

Diamond is a Shih Tzu mix, probably with Poodle. She is 7 years old and about 16 pounds. This beautiful girl has captured all of our hearts at the rescue with her gentle, calm, lovely demeanor, and she will capture yours if you meet her. Our sweet Cafe Mocha is officially adopted! 🥹🐾 After everything this little one has been through, seeing her surrounded by love and finally home where she belongs is the sweetest Sunday news.

Cafe Mocha came to us with large, painful bladder stones that we have been working to dissolve by diet and medication. As they shrink, we knew we would need a family dedicated to continuing her care, and watching that they never come back. We are so thankful we found her wonderful parents, and that our girl has a sweet furry sibling to boot.

Here’s to a lifetime of cozy mornings, endless cuddles, and all the love a little rescue pup could ever dream of. 🏡🤎
