☀️ The heat was intense, but it couldn't stop the joy.
This weekend at Huntersville Pride, we witnessed what community looks like: smiles, hugs, kindness, new friendships, and people showing up for one another. From the Free Mom Hugs booth to local organizations like Inclusion Community sharing resources and support, the day was filled with connection, acceptance, and celebration.
The festival brought together community partners, vendors, and families in a welcoming space for everyone.
We're grateful to be part of a community where inclusion isn't just a word—it's something people live out every day.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

North Carolina’s mental health system is at a breaking point. ⚠️
Far too many of our neighbors in crisis are being funneled into jails or stuck in emergency rooms for days, not because they are criminals, but because they can’t access timely, specialized care.
This isn't just a policy failure—it’s a human one. Families, advocates, and healthcare workers are calling for two critical reforms to fix our broken infrastructure: modernizing our crisis response and prioritizing true community re-entry.
Swipe through to see the specific changes we’re fighting for. Then, let us know: which of these reforms do you think our local leaders should prioritize first? 💬

Today, we pause to honor the courage and sacrifice of those who gave everything for our country. Their service stands as a reminder of the weight of our democracy and the ongoing responsibility we share to protect and strengthen it.
At Unity in Community, we believe that the best way to honor this sacrifice is to work toward a society where the promises of freedom and equality are truly realized for every neighbor—regardless of their background or zip code. Today, we reflect on their valor and renew our commitment to building a future that is worthy of their service. 🇺🇸
Wishing our community a day of peaceful reflection and remembrance.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, the official theme is "More Good Days, Together." For us in Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville, this is a reminder that we cannot achieve true belonging until every neighbor has the resources they need to thrive, not just survive. Building a supportive community means breaking down barriers to care, sharing what wellness looks like for us, and connecting each other to the right support at the right time.
Until mental health equity is real for those most impacted, it isn't real for anyone. Let's look out for one another and build those supportive spaces together. 🤝
Help us spread the word—share this post to remind a neighbor in North Meck that they don’t have to carry the weight alone.
