The Davidson Police Department is kicking off its annual Angel Tree Program, a tradition of supporting Davidson residents and families spanning over twenty years.
“We are able to continue this program because of the generosity and care of the Davidson Police Department, Davidson residents, local centers of worship, and Davidson businesses who support us in this endeavor,” said Chief of Police Kimber Davidson.
Those interested in participating in this year’s Angel Tree, either by becoming a sponsor or by making a monetary donation, are asked to contact the Davidson Police Department at 704-892-5131 duirng normal business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm) by December 8, 2023. This deadline is to ensure designated police staff have ample time to match sponsors with children, and sponsors have enough time to both purchase and drop off their gifts.

The Town of Davidson is hosting a new 'Town Talks - Take 5 with Town Staff' series starting tomorrow, October 26. The goal is to provide residents an opportunity to meet with Town staff to address questions or concerns they may have about new programs, policies, events, and/or projects. We hope that by creating a chance to ask questions, community members will be willing to take five minutes to come by and chat. Town staff will begin holding these 'mobile office hours' weekly on Thursdays beginning Thursday, October 26, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Roosevelt Wilson Park (420 Griffith Street).
From October 26 - November 16, the topic of conversation will focus on the Davidson Tax Assistance Program (DTAP) prior to its December 1, 2023 deadline.
Staff will be available to answer questions about any other Town programs, including but not limited to, the Comprehensive Housing Affordability Program (CHAP), Critical Home Repair Program, and Rental Subsidy Program.
There is no need to RSVP to make an appointment.
