Fun fact I’ve already done a similar procedure four years ago, but things can change and my doctor wanted me to repeat it.

I found the HSG to be slightly less painful and distressing than the femvue, but that was with the proper medication.

If you have to go through one of these and you want help to make it less stressful, make sure you advocate for yourself. Women are expected to just deal with pain when they shouldn’t have to.

I don’t think women are “too sensitive.”

I think many of us inherited survival.

Generations of hypervigilance.
Stress.
Emotional suppression.
Women who had to stay small to stay safe.

And now so many women are trying to heal nervous systems that learned survival before they ever learned peace.

Maybe this is why rest feels uncomfortable.
Why softness feels unfamiliar.
Why our bodies struggle to fully exhale.

Maybe healing is not fixing ourselves.

Maybe it’s teaching our bodies that the danger has finally passed.
