This couple bought this new Ford Transit in Northern CA, I flew into John Wayne Airport in southern California to meet them and drive it back to Colorado to build it. They will fly in and pick it up. Build price around $25k, stay tuned. People come from all over the country, most drive or shipping is an option, or if needed I can come pick up and/or deliver if I have the time but I do my best. Spot open after this in about 3 weeks. Any van works. #

My last 6 builds since moving to Colorado. Any van works. These can all be duplicated for around $25k depending on a few things, mainly in these cases the 2 captain swivel seats were $5k so they spent $30k+. I love big windows, you can get a few and stay around $25k. Closer to $20k with no windows but it can depend on other features like air conditioner and electrical needs, fixed bed is cheaper than benches, benches are more multifunctional with storage, table makes a bed, 4ft pullout table, but still...$25k is my average with all those nice to haves. I do it all myself, no need to pay double the price for a big company with a bunch of employees and a huge shop, I've seen and heard all the horror stories from big companies. Save your money, go with 1 guy who does it all. My shop is on my property, come check it out! Pay once, enjoy forever. Buena Vista, Colorado. #

Ford transit high roof long wheel base not extended length. Simple. Spacious. Cozy. -> 2 windows, 1 opens. 12v Air conditioner, 200w solar, dcdc charger, 300ah lithium battery (can add more), 3000w inverter, diesel heater, 2 benches with storage, table makes a bed, cushions, double flip up seat, lonseal teak floor, walls and ceiling with lights and outlets all around. Lots of wall space for decore and anything else. Add more or less. Any van works. Ballpark $24k. They drove, dropped off and made it to the airport on their own but if needed i could bring you. When finished I dropped off in Denver and they picked up.

2026 Ford Transit high roof extended, same van as mine and the one I will always recommend. But any van works for me as a builder. He drove it from New Hampshire and picked it up a month later. Table makes a bed, storage in benches, cushions, removeable top hammock for kids, diesel heater, 12v Air conditioner, 200w solar, roof rack and ladder, 3000w inverter, 600ah lithium battery, dcdc charger, insulation, 4 windows, 2 swivel cpts seats, tv on swivel mount, barn doors that shut and lock, separate hangout area in back which is so nice having the 2 spaces. She wanted a private bathroom and I think this is way better then a boxed in room behind the driver seat taking up a lot of room. The back can be storage, bathroom and a hang out area by putting a couple chairs back there. Daily driver, cabin, and anything else you want it to be! Ballpark price without the cpts seats and roof rack, $27k. Read and look carefully, get your quotes and come back when you see what double the price gets you from a bigger company 😉 Ive seen and heard it all, be careful out there. I do it all myself, no employees, you talk directly with me, the owner/builder.
Almost done with these 2 then spot open for 1 van . Buena Vista, Colorado. Any van works

Pics and info. You may not need all the solar and 2 fans etc, but ballpark you can replicate this build for about $20k. 4 different lighting options, tv on locking swivel mount, heat and AC, 600ah lithium batteries, 600w solar, 12v AC, 2 fans, 3000w inverter, outlets and USB ports all around, electrical cooler outlet, 3 recessed panels, allowing the bed to be 6 inches longer so it is now a width of 71" and she was good with 54" from front to back. Usually I make the bed 6ft long from front to back but as you see its whatever you need. Add more or less. Im not the biggest fan of taking up spaces for cabinets/sinks/bathrooms/closets. Space is crucial and makes it feel so much more open and cozy and going more simple is never a bad idea. She did spend a little more then 20k but she bought a roof rack and lots of electrical because she is living in it. Any van works.

Text in the videos got cut off but what I was explaining is it can be hard to add things like upper cabinets, heaters, plumbing to a van that is already built out when you buy it. Just keep that in mind when your looking for an empty van vs a built out one. Usually I would build a bench around the heater to hide it but this quick and easy install was just fine, no point in charging her extra to redo her bench to fit this. These heaters can only go in a few spots and luckily this worked perfectly here and is close to the bed and leaves plenty of door access to get in. Any van works. Partial and full builds. #

Heres some tips if your looking for a van and deciding on a build. For me as a builder, any van works. I do partial and full builds, part installs. Im constantly told I am half the price and my turn around is way faster. For a van, my recommendation is a Ford transit high roof extended but everyone has different needs and budgets. Promaster low roofs are huge inside for a low roof and cheap, so there are plenty of options and sizes out there. My average full build you see is about $20k. Windows and cabinets could increase that. Some vans come with windows, or I can install them. Or to keep it low cost, some people do no windows. I can do fixed beds (cheapest) and bunk beds, but the more multifunctional option (a bit more $$) is 2 benches with storage, table makes a bed, cushions, 4ft pullout table. Used van prices are lower then ever, and electrical parts and air conditioners have come along way. Its the best time to get into this. Your van can be a daily driver for daily use, maximize your investment! And you can always sell it years later.
My little beach house. Space is better then a bunch of cabinets, cheaper too (just my opinion from a heavy roadtripper). I had a sink cabinet but took it out cuz your stuck with a skinny isle. So much more spacious and cozy now. But I can do whatever you guys need. Big windows all around are the best, get some that open by the bed, it makes it feel so much bigger and brighter and the views are amazing when your traveling. Any van works, partial and full builds. Half the price of the big builders and I will get you your van back in 3 weeks, not 6 months like I hear all the time. I mean you can build a house in 6 months what the heck is that. I can help pickup or deliver anywhere maybe too, currently building in Buena Vista, Colorado.
