Job Summary
Responsible for producing accurate and timely bid estimates for landscape construction division. Primary focus on estimates for landscape construction contracts, but also work may be on
• Landscape Renovations
• Irrigation
• Lighting
• Hardscape projects
• Arbor Care
• Pressure washing
Ensure estimates are produced in such a timely and accurate fashion so, that the sales department will be able to present and win an above average percentage of the jobs it proposes.
Responsible for staying abreast of product, supply and sub-contractor prices as well as the operating production capabilities to ensure accurate estimates.
Position may negotiate pricing with vendors, subcontractors, perform site assessments and makes decisions on how to adjust price based upon circumstances of site or project.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Execute professional time-management ensuring that projects are completed with the projected budget and timeline.
• Coordinate & communicate with internal and external customers, vendors or personnel for preparing of accurate data on estimates.
• Support continuous improvement through internal and external partnerships built on value, commitment and integrity.
• Accurately record and meet the budgeted estimating man-hours required to generate an estimate on all assigned jobs.
• Provide value engineering ideas that may improve the Company’s competitive position.
• Responsible for all aspects of the bidding process, including take offs
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work including scheduling and project planning
• Develop detailed knowledge of market labor and equipment rates
• Prepare detailed estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work
• Prepare final estimate summaries, analyzing each section for scope, pricing and completeness Qualifications and Skills
• Professional and verifiable experience in Commercial Landscape Estimating
• Experience using Microsoft Office software
• Read and understand Blueprints
• Valid Driver's License

Landscape maintenance crew member technician

Duties include but not limited to:
Preparing equipment needed for the day. Loading truck. Going to the dump get rid of previous and/or current days debris from back of truck, or go straight to job sites. Mow with self propelled mower, on very rare occasion use and riding mower. Dump grass clippings onto tarp. At end of job lift tarp of grass clippings with a co worker and dump in truck. Edge flower beds and lawns. Pull weeds. Pruning with clipper or hedge trimmer, Use blower to blow grass and/or leaves. Walk ways. Pick up trash. Go to next job site and repeat. Hose off mower blades at end of day. Other miscellaneous yard maintenance.

Driver License preferred
Pay scale $14-$16 starting DOE

Required Skills:

* A thorough knowledge of landscape management and maintenance.

* A general knowledge of landscape construction and planting techniques.

* A thorough knowledge of and ability to operate irrigation systems.

* A thorough knowledge of proper equipment utilization and operation.

* A thorough knowledge of labor and routing management.

* A thorough knowledge of computers and typical software programs.

* Ability to obtain and maintain certifications such as, Pesticide Applicators License, CLT and LCB.

* Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record at all times.

* Ability to work flexible hours and extended hours when necessary
