April Update: Spring Refresh & Booking Reminder 🐺✂️

It's April 👀! I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the incredible support lately. It’s been a busy season at the shop, and I’m grateful for every one of you who trusts me with your style.

The Wednesday Rush

I’ve noticed a major shift in the schedule lately— weeks are consistently filling up by Wednesday morning. While I love the momentum, I want to make sure my regulars don't get squeezed out!

To ensure you get your preferred time and don't have to wait for a cancellation, I highly recommend booking at least 7–10 days in advance.

A Small Update on Pricing

I am incredibly grateful for the trust you place in Wolves and Shears. To ensure I can continue providing the high-quality service, premium products, and dedicated time that each of you deserves, there will be a modest adjustment to the service menu.

Starting May 1st, 2026, there will be a $5 increase on all haircut and grooming services. Exluding (Young Wolves) Kids’ Haircuts. I know how quickly those little ones grow, and I want to keep those sessions accessible for the families who support the shop.

This adjustment allows me to keep up with the rising costs of professional-grade tools and studio operations without ever having to compromise on the "Wolves and Shears" standard.

Any appointments already on the books for May will be honored at the current rate. Thank you for your continued support and for being part of the pack!

March Updates & New Rhythms at Wolves and Shears 🐺✂️

Welcome to March! As the season begins to shift, things are looking a little different around the shop, and I wanted to share some exciting personal news with you all.

Our family recently welcomed a new baby! We are beyond excited, but as we find our footing with these new "life rhythms," I will be adjusting my time behind the chair. To make sure I’m balancing fatherhood and the shop effectively, I’ll be moving to 6-hour shifts for the time being.

I also want to send a huge thank you to everyone for the incredible support—this week is almost completely booked up. I truly appreciate your patience and flexibility as I navigate this transition.

The Difference Between a 1 and a 1?

Ever asked for a “1” and got something shorter (or longer) than expected? You’re not alone.

Here’s the breakdown:
#1 Guard = Leaves 1/8 inch (3mm)

Clipper with no guard, blade open = Often called a “1,” but really closer to a 0.5 (depending on the clipper)

Oster #1 Blade = Known as a “true 1”, cuts to 2.4mm. Oster clippers don’t have an adjustable lever, so their #1 is fixed.

💈 Tip: When in doubt, ask or show a photo—there’s more than one kind of “1”!
