Ms. Nadeja and Mrs. Garcia joined Mr. Souther to meet his homeroom today! We enjoyed meeting all of our new sixth graders who are ready to “grab a board” and surf the wave next year!

Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Lewis met half of their students today. It was great meeting all of our new students and hearing about what activities they were looking forward to being a part of.

Mrs. Garcia’s new students were visited today and welcomed to VPM! The rest of our sixth graders will meet their teachers over the next week. We look forward to meeting everyone. Thank you to Kona Ice of Walker & Catoosa for their support of the yard signs!
Summer workouts for basketball are in full swing. All rising 6th-8th graders are welcome to come out each Tuesday from 6 until 8 and Sunday from 2 until 4 to participate in the workouts. This will be throughout June and is open to boys and girls.

The Whitfield County Schools Summer Nutrition Program begins June 1 and continues through July 30, 2026.
Families may pick up seven days’ worth of meals for each child every Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the following non-congregate meal sites:
• Beaverdale Elementary
• Cedar Ridge Elementary
• Northwest High
• Dawnville Elementary
• North Whitfield Middle
• Westside Middle

The Whitfield County Schools Summer Nutrition Program will begin June 1, 2026, and continue through July 30, 2026. In addition to meal sites, families can also find information about Summer Reading and Special Performances taking place throughout the summer on select dates. All sites will be closed July 3.

Our final Wavemaker celebration on Tuesday was a success! We want to congratulate all of the students and their families for being recognized. We also want to thank Papa's Pizza To Go-dawnville and Jessi Azbill - New American Funding for making the event possible through their donations.

Arriving early two days per week to put in extra work, the VPMS Football players go above and beyond expectations. Coach Burrell is proud of their growth, both mentally and physically, and the leadership and confidence that comes from our weightlifting program. Hard Work Pays Off!
