I Use NovusBoard Every Day. Nobody Else Does Yet. | AK Novus Tech Insights NovusBoard is live and in production. It has exactly one user — me. Here's why I built it that way, and why I'm in no rush to pretend otherwise.

Spent my Saturday morning on the least glamorous part of running a software business: local SEO for aknovus.com.
No new features. No shipping anything. Just a Dr Pepper, the Google Business Profile, and going line by line through the markup making sure DFW and Lancaster actually show up where they're supposed to. Cleaning up the location signals, checking the name and address match everywhere, tightening the meta tags.
It's tedious work with no instant payoff. You don't see the results the same day. But it's how local customers find you — and I'd feel pretty stupid telling the auto shops and trades I build for that local SEO matters while skipping it on my own site.
So I practice what I preach. Back to it.

Quick bit of build-in-public honesty: getting NovusNest onto the App Store was a fight.
Google Play first, a few weeks early, no real drama. Apple was a different animal. Most of what they flagged was fair — StoreKit details, the EULA link, an age gate. Stuff that makes the product better, so I fixed it and moved on.
The one that got me was redemption codes. Apple wouldn't clear the app while I was offering codes to people. It's my product. If I want to hand someone a code, I should be able to — without getting penalized for it. I didn't agree with that one. But arguing with Apple isn't a winning game, so I found a workaround that passed review and kept going.
That's the job, though. You hit a wall you don't agree with, you find a way through anyway.
NovusNest exists because my own family needed it — we were buried in sticky notes and reminders nobody remembered. So I built the thing that fixed it for us. No ad budget yet, so every user so far found it on their own. For a solo build with zero marketing spend, I'll take that.
