The Human Impact
Befriend the homeless, bridge the relational gap, and build long-term community. We believe that friendship heals what housing alone cannot. Day after day.
The Human Impact helps the homeless in a remarkably simple way. It is through friendship. Homelessness is a human issue that requires a human response. Trauma and a catastrophic loss of family/support are the two most prevalent things we've found to be the cause of longterm homelessness. Since we believe poverty stems most fundamentally from broken relationships, we believe the solution to poverty
“I finally got a place of peace.” - Ron
Ron is one of several friends who've found housing this spring. For anyone who has lived on the streets or in a shelter for years, moving into a new apartment is more than housing.
It’s rest.
It’s dignity.
It’s peace.
It’s home.
Ron loves sharing good news with us, so he left a message to let us know about his new bed, his new dishes, and the joy of settling into a space that is finally his.
Having a place to call home is an important part of the journey toward healing. But having a community that celebrates alongside you—even over a new set of dishes—that's what sustains us. We love you and couldn't be more happy for you, Ron❤️

Watch a child meet someone experiencing homelessness and you'll see something you won't forget.
No hesitation. No distance. Just curiosity, laughter, and arms wide open.
Jesus said the Kingdom belongs to people like that. We believe it. And every week in June and July, we're heading to the streets as families—letting the children show us the way.
Join us for Family Streets Time and watch something holy happen❤️

At THI, we value relationships over outcomes. Everyone’s journey looks different. Some friends find housing. Some never leave the streets. We don't measure success by an address.
But when a friend gets approved for housing, gets the keys, and finally walks through the door of their own place? We're right there with them. We help them move in, help make it feel like home, and we keep showing up — because with us, there's a lifetime friendship guarantee.
This spring, we've had the joy of crossing the threshold of 17 new apartments with friends we love. Housing is a gift, but the transition can be hard — much of their community may still be on the streets. So we stay connected, keep them woven into something bigger, and make sure that having a home never means being alone.
Because knowing someone has your back matters just as much when you're housed as when you're not.

Our first Summer Worship Night is almost here!
Join us on Thursday, June 18 at 6:00 PM for a beautiful evening of worship, prayer, community, and song. As we lift our voices together, we're reminded that God's love draws people from every walk of life into one family.
Bring your spouse, your kids, your friends—or simply bring yourself.
We hope you'll join us as we gather to worship, connect, and celebrate the truth that everyone belongs.
We can’t wait to see you there❤️

Two moms. Two boys the same age. A bench on the street.
When you come to the streets with our team, you never know who you'll meet or what God will show you.
But everyone who steps onto these streets comes with something they're carrying. And they leave seeing and being seen in ways they didn't expect.

We are grateful for the partnership of Dr. Ti Hoang, Dr. John Garrett, and the Street Medicine Team at Baylor University Medical Center.
Their work reflects something we value deeply at THI: real impact begins with relationship. By bringing healthcare directly to unhoused individuals in Dallas, their team—the only program in Dallas providing this kind of direct street-based medical care—is helping meet urgent needs while also building trust, stability, and long-term connection.
Partnerships like this remind us that meaningful impact happens when care is both personal and consistent.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to remind everyone that bringing your whole self to God—including your anxiety, sadness, exhaustion, or grief—is not weakness. It is honesty and God wants to know ALL of you.
Jesus never shamed people for being human. With compassion, he met people in grief, exhaustion, and sorrow. He knew we weren’t meant to suffer alone—that community allows for people to feel loved and cared for. It’s how we heal. It’s how we help hold each other up.
Jesus took human suffering seriously. And he still does.
If this encourages you, save it, share it, or send it to someone who may need the reminder today🤍
