Small Brewpub

Hello old timers, there is a new incarnation of Small Brewpub that has been in the works for a little while now. One of the founders has been working on something in the Fair Park neighborhood called so feel free to check it out and follow the progress there.

Happy Five-Year Anniversary! Join us tonight as we wish farewell to . It’s been a wonderful five years, so instead of being sad this is the end, let’s celebrate our time together! We’ve got three anniversary beers on tap, as well as our latest and final... the Ultimo. We’re open till midnight... come early if you want one last meal with us as we will likely run out of food before the night is over. See you tonight!

Now for the practicals.

Our last day of service will be December 7th, which also happens to be our 5th anniversary, and also happens to be Pearl Harbor day (which as far as we know is not connected in any way).

Starting Today 11/20, we will be pulling our past years anniversary beers from the cellar. Specifically our Mish Mish (our 3rd from 2017) and Byzantium (our 4th from 2018).

On the next Tuesday 11/26 we will tap our final 5th anniversary release, Ultimo.

Ultimo is a 11% ABV strong ale fermented with a fun type of Norwegian kveik yeast brimming with stone fruit character, conditioned on Madagascar and Mexican vanilla beans as well as a touch of nutmeg.

We'll release more details for the big party we're throwing on the 7th as the day gets closer. Please stay tuned on our Instagram for those specifics.

Five years ago a group of friends here in Oak Cliff put together an ambitious plan to create a novel spin on the neighborhood brewpub concept.

They called it Small.

As always, saying goodbye is never easy. Our lease is up here on Jefferson Boulevard and we've decided to not renew.

Those of you who have worked with us in the many roles and responsibilities employed in a full-service restaurant, cocktail bar, and brewery, thank you. We wish we could have supported you better and paid you more.

To our loyal patrons over the years, thank you. We wish we could keep serving you Black Pepper Pils, New Hats, and Beef Belly Buns forever.

As individuals, we’re honored to continue to be a part of this community we love. We hope that our small amount of hospitality will have a lasting impact and serve as an example for the good things that are to come.

New batch of Hazelnator, No.2 to be specific.

This is a fun experiment with a 5 minute boil, 60% 2-row, 30% malted oats, 10% malted wheat. No hops in the kettle, Azaaca in the whirlpool, and simcoe and galaxy for the dry hop.

It’s a juicy ipa with a well rounded fruity bitterness.

Happy hump day, ! We are so excited to introduce you to one of our favorite bartenders, Jovanny De La Cruz. Jovanny has been with us since April, and boy, does he sling a mean (his favorite of which to mix up for you is the Penultima)! He is also aka , the man responsible for the existence and rhythm of , our recent salsa nights, which we are planning to host once a month >> every third Thursday (so keep an eye out for that). Today we are kicking off our TEACHER APPRECIATION MONTH!

This is the $7 “Class Act”, a refreshing long drink with vodka, elderflower, grapefruit, lemon and salt, topped with sparkling water.

The whole month of September we will have cocktail, wine, and beer specials just for teachers and teaching faculty only.
