I’ve always wanted to sample Gossip. The some drums and synths on there. Kendrick and vocals really brought it to life and made it something so special. Had to pay homage to these 2 for their endless inspiration.

Frankie Valli is an absolute legend with simply timeless music. The first few seconds of this tune, Danger, were just CALLING to be flipped. Combine that with the beauty that is the Orchid by .instruments, and you got the recipe for an absolute banger. Gotta love when the right moments fall in line effortlessly.

has been a longtime inspiration and one of my favorite creators for a longtime now, alongside all his peers. You can tell how much he cares about crafting his unique sound and it always shows. His bars are top tier, but his production chops are immaculate as well and don’t get enough shine. Felt like the perfect way to kick it off. Made this while I was in Hawaii, and found myself surrounded by endless sources of inspiration starting with the view from my air bnb on the big island. Set the whole video to a bunch of timelapses I’ve been shooting while traveling. The hand animation felt like the cherry on top.

Side note: been having a blast dabbling into animation again. Stoked to share some of the animation timelapses.

Huge shout out to the insanely talented for filming/dope edit! Having someone take on capturing the visuals has been such a blessing! Hit them up for any business inquiries.

Here’s a 30 min beat that quickly grew into something special. It really took a new form when we took some inspiration from Still Fly by Big Tymers, a CLASSIC.

This is just one of a few distant iterations/arrangements we have been playing around with. Figuring out where a song should go and how it gets to that destination is tricky but one of the most rewarding parts of making music. There’s nothing like that feeling when it feels and flows just right. Let us know what you think of v1 of “I’m So Fly”
