The third topic of discussion was COVID's impact on retail. Is it going to die and go all online or will it change? The consensus was retail will not die but rather change and be designed to create experiences. Online has mastered the transaction but has not captured the need people have for an experience and human interaction.
Our second question to the panel was "will commercial real estate shrink or expand due to COVID and people working from home during the pandemic?"
What impact will COVID have on working from home? Will this continue or will we see more and more people move back to the office?
