Essential Chips Sense
Promote wellness through the use of Young Living Essential Oils and products. They simply work for our family and I hope to share that success with you!
My family has been using essential oils in some capacity or another for a little over a year. What started as a way for me to make some "fun smelling" teacher gifts (sugar scrubs and bath salts) has turned in to an incredible way for me to care for my family and improve our health. I have learned much along the way about essential oils in general including the importance of quality and safety. We

Jumping in on the and while I know I’ve got a ways to go, I’m impressed. My hair has always been frizzy, dry and limp when I try to coax out my waves. But this is much better! I started out using what I have on hand, so I’m sure it will only get better from here. 😉 First picture is from the end of the day yesterday. Second picture (still in the same PJ’s mind you because ) is after I slept in a silk scarf and refreshed this morning. 🤷🏻♀️ I may decide to be curly after all! Either way, I’m enjoying exploring this wavy hair thang! 😍

Where are all my jewelry makers?!? What does a picture of handmade earrings have to do with YL? Do you see how many sets of earrings I’ve made in the last 24 hours (not a ton comparative but for this full time teacher/mom/wife, that’s a collection!)? Do you see how my nails are still nice and long? No chips, breaks or bends? That’s Sulfurzyme and Master Formula at work friends! If you have ever assembled jewelry - especially by hand and with all.the.jump rings - then you know the havoc it can do to your nails! I had to stop making jewelry for a while because my nails were so weak and flaky. They would chip away at the slightest breeze...I knew I couldn’t close jump rings or assemble jewelry! But not only are they strong enough to survive jewelry making, they are strong enough to survive teaching, momming, pets, opening cans of Zyng (cause I have up sodas long ago!), do***ng in the dirt, laundry, cooking, cleaning and all.the.things! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 And now I have my “therapy” back and I can survive all those things, too! 😂

This is proof of what poor observations and prepping for the EdTPA will do to a student teacher. Don’t know what EdTPA is? Apparently Texas is trialing it this semester and I’m one of the lucky ones to get to go first. It’s as high stakes as passing a licensing exam, but much more in depth including video of lessons, commentary and assessments to prove students are improving proficiency. I am literally having nightmares about it the further I get into the nitty gritty of the whole thing. Check on any student teachers you know right now...we are not ok!
On a positive note...I got my cute jeans on and zipped/buttoned up! I look like a busted can of cinnamon rolls, but I’m counting this a win!

Once again, God reminds me He is always with me! The timing of this reminder is more than convenient as I have my first observation this afternoon at 1:30! If you think of it around then, a quick prayer that it all goes smoothly, my lesson takes up the full 45 minutes and those sweet babies are cooperative, I’d appreciate it!

It’s Nerd Day at school and if you know me, you know I’m here for all the dress up days! This morning we were all on the struggle bus trying to wake up, but...it’s Friday!

T-minus one week until we are all back to school...that means one week until “back to reality”. Back to making the kids take actual showers and not just let the pool do the hard works (hey, chlorine kills things, right?? 🤷🏻♀️). Back to laying out clothes the night before instead of all-day PJ days. Back to waking up early (sooooo early!) to the sound of the alarm instead of the sound of my children begging me to let them skip their chores and watch movies all day (I’m the mean mom that makes them do homeschool lessons, reading and chores BEFORE they get to have summer fun!). Back to rushing around cramming all the things in and praying there is time for a decent dinner. Back to homework and practicing instruments and football and UIL and choir and student teaching and coaching and all.the.things. So tonight...in celebration - and defiance in equal measure - of our last week of summer, I sure did just stand in my kitchen eating these bad boys with a dollop of cream cheese and a scoop of left over cherry pie filling from the fridge. It didn’t suck. And I do feel a little better. Now back to staying up a little too late on a Sunday night just because we can to finish our Transformers marathon...we still got one more week and I’m hanging on to every second!
