Low Birth Weight Development Center
The Low Birth Weight Developmental Center (LBWDC) is designed to meet the needs of families with low birth weight infants.
In Texas over 5,000 very low birth weight babies are born each year! Most of these babies can spend 3 months or more in a neonatal intensive care unit prior to being discharged, but it is not enough to help these fragile babies survive in the hospital.
