A church small enough to care and big enough to make a difference. We are working to build up our earthly temples while working on the physical church.

πŸŽ“βœ¨ Smith Chapel AME Church Celebrates Our Students! βœ¨πŸŽ“

On Sunday, Smith Chapel AME Church joyfully honored and celebrated our students during our Annual Baccalaureate Service and Promotion Recognition Celebration. It was a beautiful day filled with worship, encouragement, recognition, and fellowship as we acknowledged the accomplishments of our graduates and students advancing to the next grade level.

We proudly recognized members of the Class of 2026 and celebrated every student who successfully completed another academic year. From elementary school promotions to high school and college milestones, we thank God for His faithfulness, guidance, and favor upon each of their lives.

Following the service, family, friends, and church members gathered for a special reception to congratulate our students and encourage them as they prepare for their next chapter. We are grateful for the parents, guardians, educators, mentors, and church family who continue to pour into the lives of our young people.

At Smith Chapel, we believe our children are not only the future of the Church, but they are an important part of the Church right now. We remain committed to nurturing their spiritual growth, academic excellence, leadership development, and Kingdom purpose.

As they move forward, we pray that they will continue to walk in wisdom, pursue excellence, and trust God in every season.

β€œFor I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, β€œplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” β€” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Congratulations to all of our graduates and students promoted to the next grade level! Your Smith Chapel family is proud of you, cheering for you, and praying for your continued success.

πŸ’™πŸ’› Keep growing. Keep learning. Keep believing. God has great things in store for you!

Smith Chapel AME Church was honored to participate as a vendor at the 2026 Summer Fest in South Dallas, hosted by The Walls Project and the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. This incredible event brought together residents, community organizations, businesses, and ministries for a day focused on unity, service, health, education, and celebration.

As representatives of Smith Chapel AME Church, we were blessed with the opportunity to meet our neighbors, share information about our ministry, and extend an invitation for others to experience the love of Christ through fellowship and worship. Community outreach is more than an event; it is a ministry that allows us to be the hands and feet of Jesus beyond the walls of the church.

We believe that building stronger communities begins with building meaningful relationships. Through conversations, encouragement, and acts of service, we were able to connect with individuals and families throughout South Dallas while sharing the mission of Smith Chapel AME Church.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, shared their stories, and allowed us to serve. We are grateful for opportunities like Summer Fest that remind us of the power of faith, partnership, and community engagement.

β€œLet your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” β€” Matthew 5:16 (NIV).

Smith Chapel AME Church remains committed to being big enough to care and large enough to make a difference as we continue serving, supporting, and uplifting our community.
