Happy Birthday to our son, Chris Jerome Howell, there is special kind of joy in watching your son become his own man. To see the life you’re building, the way you carry yourself and the direction you’re headed is a gift.

I love you and pray this next year brings you everything you’ve been working toward. Always know I’m in your corner.

Last year, I had the honor of receiving the Jesus Girls Rock Leadership Foundation’s Nehemiah Award.

Today, I had the great honor of presenting that same award in recognition of Art Deleon, who was unable to be with us in person.

There is something special about going from being recognized to having the opportunity to recognize someone else.

The Nehemiah Award honors Christian male leadership rooted in prayer, vision, service and courageous action. I remain grateful to have my name associated with what this award represents, and it was a privilege today to celebrate Art and the work he continues to do through Restoration Outreach of Dallas.

It was also great seeing so many friends and celebrating the remarkable people being recognized for the work they are doing in our community. Congratulations to all of today’s honorees.

A full circle moment, and one I will not soon forget.

Again, congratulations , Art. Keep building.

In a crowded space of narrators and voice actors, with AI-generated voices becoming more common every day, it’s a blessing to still see a message like this in my inbox.

I never take these opportunities for granted. I’m grateful that people continue to trust a human voice with meaningful projects that matter not only to me, but to the people they’re meant to reach.

Fifty years of ministry represents countless sermons, moments and lives touched.

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to share with The Dallas Morning News the profound impact Bishop T.D. Jakes’ ministry has had on me and my family over nearly three decades.

When Dominique and I first walked into The Potter’s House with our three children in 1997, we could not have imagined how much that decision would shape our family and the years that followed.

Some stories you’re interviewed for. Others, you’ve lived.

Congratulations, Bishop, on 50 years of ministry.

Sometimes we become so focused on where we are trying to go that we forget what it took to get where we are.

You have faced some difficult moments. Your faith has been tested. Your strength has been stretched. There may have been times when you were not sure how you would make it through.

But you are still here, and you are still standing.

You may not have every answer today. You may not be able to see the entire path ahead. That is okay. Trust God with what you cannot see, and be faithful with the next step He has placed in front of you.

God is not finished with you.

Keep believing. Keep building. Keep moving forward.
